I Need to Clean My Tractor Battery

To clean the battery posts on a lawn tractor, you can follow these steps...

Disconnect the battery: Before cleaning the battery posts, disconnect the battery.  This will prevent any electrical shock or damage to the tractor.

Remove any corrosion: If there is any corrosion on the battery posts, you can use a wire brush or a cotton swab dipped in white vinegar to remove it.

Mix baking soda and water: Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with approximately 1 1/2 cups of water to create a cleaning solution.

Apply the solution: Apply the baking soda solution to the battery posts and terminals using a brush or a cotton swab.  This will neutralize any acid and remove any remaining corrosion.

Rinse with water: Rinse the battery posts and terminals with clean water to remove any remaining baking soda solution.

Dry the battery: Use a clean cloth to dry the battery posts and terminals thoroughly.

Reconnect the Battery: Once the battery is dry, reconnect it to the tractor.
