To change tractor spark plugs, follow these steps:

  • Turn off the ignition switch, remove the key, and lift the hood.
  • Disconnect the spark plug wire and use a spark plug wrench to remove the old spark plug from the engine.
  • Set the gap on the new spark plug to the specified measurement in your owner's manual (e.g., 0.03 inches).
  • Thread the new spark plug into the engine and tighten it with a spark plug wrench, ensuring not to over-tighten.
  • Reconnect the spark plug wire and lower the mower hood.

Regularly changing spark plugs ensures consistent spark, reliable starting, and improved fuel economy for your tractor.
